What do you guys think the worth of the Intel Core i5-2400 CPU and the Intel Core i7-2600 CPU are right now and for fast sale on eBay or anywhere? $99 each?
Do you think there is enough demand to move 140 quantity (70 of each)?

Just CPU alone, nothing else included.

The 2600 is at least useful as a drop-in replacement for a stock i5, for anyone looking to fend off obsolescence a bit longer rather than buy a new system. I picked one up six months ago for a 2011 base-level model 27" iMac; (the performance delta between it and the original i5 2500S is actually striking, and the stock thermal management isn't fazed by the 30w TDP difference). Ask on those was nudging $200 at the time and even then they weren't selling in any great numbers. I have no idea what the market for a 2400 would be. I note that it even lacks HT.

Well the main differentiation between the i5 and i7 series is that stepping up to i7 typically nets you HT. There's only 1 cpu out of all 23 of Intel's desktop i5 Haswell chips that has HT. SB might be old but the performance step up from it to SB to HW is really not that significant. So yes I'd agree it's a great drop in chip actually especially if you don't need an unlocked multi.
