Hoping the adapters work... about to order them.Ahh, knew about the second part, but have not seen the thread for the m2->u2 adapter
Can you expand of this a little bit? What exactly did you get in today? Motherboard? AOC?Ok, got mine today. Got no nothing only 3 beeps. Memory Error (!?) ... a little bit of testing ...
Turned out it was the v4 CPU instead - Bios had never been updated. So I installed my only v3 CPU (1620!) - no issues with it, updated to Bios 21 (via 14), reslotted my 2630L v4 ES M0 and my 4 Supermicro HCL Samsung modules and off it went booting ESX
Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification.Sorry, side tracking your thread
Got a S2600WT2 and associated case yesterday and wanted to provide feedback on the question whether it would run ES level CPUs.
If the Bios is current on yours I don't think you shuld have an issue
The comment re Memory was more to point out that Intel (and SuperMicro) sometimes don't report 'smartly' on their Error codes - had that same 'memory error' based on CPU level before on a SM board and it took a while to find the cause.
SSD's were no problem. I picked up those PM953's for ~$200 ea.. new.Yep, fun times for memory & ssds - not :/
I'm having a similar issue... I suppose the V4's are coming back out to test.Ok, got mine today. Got no nothing only 3 beeps. Memory Error (!?) ... a little bit of testing ...

Yes sir. Wondering if I have a dead VGA port. Going to go grab a cheap graphics card and/monitor with a vga input (currently using a VGA to hdmi converter that works fine with my SM SC846)
Cover off? The beeps where not so loud and the fans at full power are quite loud. And you might see the error warning led's
Memory in the correct slot? (uppermost blue one if front is on the left)
