I received mine - had a hand-written sticker saying it has "97% life". Seems to be working fine in my Ubuntu system out of the box.

Both of mine also say that. I won't be able to validate that until I get my spare boxes out of storage to test :(

So I got this installed in my WS Ace X570 Asus board in the 2nd slot. lspci --v -s 0c:00.0 confirms it's running at x8 electrical.

However sequential reads don't break ~ 700-800MB/s

Simple operations like "pvcreate" or "vgextend" take a VERY long time (minutes).

kernel is 5.11.0-25-generic (Ubuntu 21.04). Anyone have any idea what the issue could be? I'm ok with slow writes, but I expected at least fast, sequential reads.

RealSSD Manager says it's in "good health" with 97% life remaining. Temperature is 73c. Firmware: B2100600 Link speed 5.0GT/s (x8)
Power limit disabled.

i thought the temp was a little warm, but the data sheet says throttling doesn't start till 85C.

So I dual booted into windows & as-ssd seems to show it working properly. I went back in linux and made a partition, formatted ext4 & was able to do 2GB/s. However if I try to use LVM2 on it, nothing but hangs...very dissapointed.

I've got a few of these that I'm willing to part with for $120 each if anyone missed out and wants one.
