Hi my friend, I also have an inspur NF5280M5 server, can I buy the MCP2221 programmer like the link below and execute like this?
yes.
MCP2221a (old MCP2221 not work)
If the modification is completed, do I still need to plug the MCP2221 into the motherboard?
no.
I want to buy two Intel 8259CL CPUs, which consume 210W and should be able to start directly.
after VRM mod. before they are helt in reset(TDC=255A)

Finally, I have translated the guide I've put together. I hope you can help me identify any errors. My English is not good, and there may be many grammatical errors. In addition, I want to share my BIOS tools, but I found that the free version of Dropbox cannot share files larger than 100M. Here I can only put the link to Baidu Net Disk. Can someone tell me what cloud storage can be shared?
The PDF file is not particularly clear because the forum does not support large attachments. The clear PDF is in the BIOS modification tool I provided o_O

Can you attach, dump file for mp2955a? I'm forget to get this before modification with phase current..."sys export" to create the dump for all founded controllers on i2c bus.
Hi, bro.
Hi my friend. I would like to ask, if I modify the BIOS, log in to the BMC through IPMI and then refresh the BIOS file, is this feasible? Do I need to re-sign and verify?

Thanks to the blogger for the tutorial, and also to my friend @awaitnil for the pictures, which I have successfully modified here.

1. At first I found that SDA<>SCL didn't work, then I converted them and it worked.

blue = SDA = pin1 I2C0_PWR
yellow = SCL= pin2 I2C0_PWR
black = GND = pin3 I2C0_PWR

2. Program execution results

Bash:
PS D:\MCP2221a> .\MCP2221a_iccmax_FF.exe -scan 20 7f
The MCP2221a device is connected.

3. Can you help me check whether the modification is successful? The CPU I bought will not arrive until tomorrow.

your board is configured ICC_MAX=255A
remaining attempts = 0C (normaly 0D) so one OTP bank was used.

“This topic is very interesting. I have a Lenovo P920 running two 6138 chips. I am looking to use this tool to upgrade. However, I am not very skilled at soldering chip connections. I plan to 3D print a model with three metal joints, so one hand can hold it in contact with the motherboard while a friend operates on another computer. I’m not sure how fast this process will be. What happens if the connection is unstable during the adjustment process? Can someone provide me with the dimensions of the PJ1100 so I can make the 3D model?”

However, I am not very skilled at soldering chip connections
its not a chip, holes for a 3pin header (grid 2.54mm)
you should use any other ground pin for the ground/GND cable (COM1,USB, LAN shield,etc)
I’m not sure how fast this process will be.
if you know the address(es) 2 or 3 seconds.
What happens if the connection is unstable during the adjustment process?
unknown. avoid this.

Hello friend, thank you very much for your tutorial, which helped me successfully use a high TDP/TDC CPU. Here is a screenshot of the success. I don't quite understand this sentence "remaining attempts = 0C (normaly 0D) so one OTP bank was used." Will it affect the follow-up? --------My English is not very good, these words are from Google Translate.

0C & 0D = hex values.
the PXE1610C uses OTP2 not EEPROM. there are usualy 0Dh(14) banks free for programming.
now you have 0Ch(13) banks left(remaining) for programming other parameters.
e.g. if you want back to factory icc_max rem.attempts becomes 0Bh(12)

well supermicro and others used megaRac BMC(AST2XXX) was ok
