Why gamble at all on some of this stuff just buy from another retailer.
I use B&H for certain stuff and newEgg for others now due to this.

Newegg also has a 'marketplace' so I avoid them as well as amazon/ebay.

Generally, I've found startech stuff at reasonable prices at cdw, provantage, etc--the normal legit distributors.

i do a many 8643 angle connector from 12cm to 30 and 1.5m, but over cheap board 8643 to m.2 the unit can fry. It's a matter to get the pcb and just put resettable fuse across the dc regulator.. or swap for a better one. But all in all, cable and adapter are just like any extension of anything. no worries
