Tried a very new coin to mine for the fun.

Its a newly created Monero clone that I found yesterday, it is listed on one website and its not even listed on ANY exchange so its literally worth nothing now and may never be worth anything.

Its just a baby, just a few weeks old. LOL

I just wanted to get in early, VERY early on a coin.

This one is a Monero clone with zero mods for now, the dev's are supposed to add a GUI wallet and other features.

After about 27 hours of mining:

2017-Oct-25 23:12:43.518148 INFO available balance: 14855.248000000000, locked amount: 0.000000000000

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL:D

At one point I was mining with over %35 of the total network hash rate.

There are three pools with a total of 18 miners, I'm on a pool by my self.

Of course this does not show the solo miners but I don't think there are many.

Thats me on top, my hash rate varies between ~4.5 KH/s to ~9.1 KH/s.

I did this for fun not because I think its going to be worth anything, I just wanted to see what its like mining at the VERY early stage of a coin and its a hoot. :D

I mined two blocks less than 30 seconds apart...........

10/25/2017, 3:21:43 PM 90%
10/25/2017, 3:21:07 PM 43%

If only I got in this early with Bitcoin or even Monero.:p

Next thing I'm going to try is to set up a node and learn a bit about that.

Perhaps @Klee has decided to keep this one quiet for now. I would not be surprised, given what happened the last time they spilled the beans. A quick web search reveals that there are quite a few CryptoNote currencies already in existence - perhaps it is one of these. Not quite sure what a Boolberry is - sounds to me like something you should definitely see a doctor about.

Difficulty is going up and the rewards are going down.

Someone with ~120 KH/s of mining power mined on the same pool as me for about 5 hours and tripled the network difficulty.

As of this moment this is what I have mined.

I think we are on the same coin. Been on it for a couple of days now. The issue I've had is that I can't get a full hash rate out of it. On my more powerful nodes I've had to split mining and run on 2 coins instead of one. Seems like 1 KH/s is the upper reasonable limit per node.

It mines at exactly the same speed as Monero, and it should, and I get about ~870 H/s on a dual E5-2660 V1 node and about ~915 H/s on a dual E5-2665 V1 node.

My dual E5-2667 V3 gets about ~1200 H/s.

That's what I would expect. But in reality my 4xAMD6274 mboard maxes out at 1200 hs with this coin while 1750 hs is the normal low power rate with XMR. 2 CPU nodes are closer to normal. Maybe it has something to do with network speed since this coin has a shorter block time.

As of right now:

balance
2017-Oct-29 11:43:58.305126 INFO available balance: 32076.524000000000, locked amount: 0.000000000000

It's fun to think that if it does a Monero in about three years, Monero is at $88.14 so...

32,076.524 x $88.14 = $2,827,224.82536

Or does a Bitcoin in about seven years..... Bitcoin is $5984.09484320 right now....

32,076.524 x $5,984.10 = $191,949,127.27

:D

Been mining this one week:

2017-Oct-31 22:37:21.755116 INFO available balance: 45291.626000000000, locked amount: 112.653000000000

I'm going to mine it for another week maybe then put my paper wallet in my safe and forget about it for a couple of years.

Then move on to another new coin for a couple of weeks then repeat.

Your timing was very good on this. Now the hash rates have increased significantly. I was a few days behind you, but also managed to provide 20-30% of the world hash rate at some point.

Diff and hash rates dropped down again. Just a few khashes gets 10% of the network :)

I wonder how feasible it would be to get a smallish pool set up to hop these different coins.... Obviously there would need to be a lookup of some kind so the operator can change to a new coin before all the miners have created/downloaded the wallet for that coin then pay to their address once they have added it.

You can setup a pool with multiple coins. I haven't tried it yet though. The main difference is that you would need to configure the various coin daemons to different ports so the ports don't overlap. But the redis backend should work fine with multiple coins in parallel. The web front end might be a headache for multiple coins although I think it's mostly about setting up the web pages in different directories and checking that the stats daemons don't overlap.

I'm running a pool for my nodes now, but only for one coin currently. Maybe I'll play with the multiple coin setup at some point. Interesting to see how it works.
