Did ya get one of those temp SUM lics/keys to do that BIOS update from IPMI? I seem to have read there is a trick to that on getting a temp key/lic. DO tell please. Making a fat32 flashing stick now and if I can avoid that I will. Was gonna make a bootable iso following these instructions but got cold feet.Don't know if it matters but First update IPMI and then BIOS. I used the IPMI KVM console to run the BIOS update. After BIOS update is complete, the system restarts twice. After the second restart, reboot IPMI as well if the BIOS firmware version is not showing up in the IPMI website. Updated around 12 X10 and X11 boards last week. No hitches.

Supermicro or Intel?I now buy the remote BIOS license for almost all my machines. SM always fixes stuff that I'm having problems with so I do more BIOS upgrades than I care to see.
