    Hello,

I tried to push down the lever at the back of the PSU but still it would not come out. Is there anything else which needs to be pressed to pull the PSU out of the chassis?

    Thanks

No that should work. Maybe wiggle a bit?

Try removing the rails on the PSU side of the chassis, at at least loosening the screws that keep them from sliding out of their retaining clips. Sometimes the screws holding rails to the chassis press on the PSU and effectively lock it into place.
