Is this one of the vulnerable CPUs? I thought that was the C2000 series, this has an E3940.Tempting, but I'm sitting on two bricked QNAPs because of those Atom chips, so these are likely walking time bombs as well.

Already covered early on: https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...brand-new-75-8-00-shipping.41961/#post-397576Is this one of the vulnerable CPUs? I thought that was the C2000 series, this has an E3940.
According to bsmith above, the issue was corrected with the stepping of these.Tempting, but I'm sitting on two bricked QNAPs because of those Atom chips, so these are likely walking time bombs as well.
How did you check? Mine just shows stepping '10' in /proc/cpuinfoI just received 4 that i recently purchased and confirmed these are SREK6 (F1) Stepping which i believe is the stepping that corrected the issue with B1 Stepping CPU.
I pulled the stepping off of the CPU itself. How did you check? Mine just shows stepping '10' in /proc/cpuinfo
Also, does anyone know what the exact type of DC plug it uses is? I want to make a PoE splitter for it.
Oh, that works too. That confirms mine is the fixed version.I pulled the stepping off of the CPU itself.
It's been awhile but I think the screws to remove the bottom are under the top cover.Ok, I have one of these just getting around to setting it up. Silly question, I got it open to add ram, but I can only access the sata port once taking off the lid with 4 screws. The manual has a nice picture of where the ram slot is located, just no instructions that I see for how to access it.
Do I have to pop off the heatsink side somehow to get to the ram slot? I don't see any obvious screws on that side.
So far, all is good here. I bought two of them, using one as a PfSense firewall and the other as a 1080p media box.Curious how these are treating anyone that grabbed? What are y’all using them for?
new here but been having lots of fun scouring the bay for industrial/fanless stuff of the like
Try using the h264ify plugin and see if it helps with 4k YT videos. It forces YT to use h264 instead of VP9I regret not buying a few more of these at $75. I'm using one for home automation (openHAB) and the other as a media box connected to a TV. Seems fine for 4k video via VLC, but YT videos are realistically limited to 1080p or they'll stutter.
