Supermicro H8DGiF motherboard

This has been a great motherboard running 2 X 6128HE with 32G but the 180W idle is killing me. It is only being accessed about 12h per day. Does anyone know of a hacked, open source or supermicro BIOS version that supports S3 for this MB. Or an alternative G34 MB.

What else is attached to that board? Sounds a bit high unless there are some drives/ add-in cards involved. What about cooling?

I do not know about the BIOS. Those are big 45nm chips though.

Its in a SC846 case, 14 drives, 5 fans, 3 LSI9211.

12 x 3TB drives
1 ssd
5 fans
1 x LSI 9207-8i

Sounds about right with that many controllers and drives.
