Truth. I hadn't set it up, but luckily it picked up an address even after I couldn't use the local display

I don't think I'll ever build a server that doesn't have IPMI from now on.

hahah, what a coincident...

I did on my n54l..

the vga connector got snapped when my 4 years old daughter ran and pull the cable including vga connector .
happened early this year...

cost cutting, and they use non holes soldering, just surface soldering that easy to get snapped

just a little friendly warning...

And this is one of the reasons why I rarely do the screws up on monitor connectors
