Hi!
for sale is a Dell VRTX enclosure, tower configuration with casters.
SOLD

If you don't know what it is, that's okay since it's not super common on here. It's basically a mini blade enclosure, that combines compute, networking, storage, and management all in a tower form factor (takes up 5U if rack mounted). It takes standard M620, M630, M520, M530 blades, has 25 SFF drives bays that can be shared via all 4 blades, a built in networking switch with internal and external ports, CMC management that allows you to control the entire enclosure, the blades, the storage, AND the networking, AND has 4 redundant power supplies.
Here's a run down of the specs of the enclosure I'm selling:
One of the other great things about it is everything can be done via a browser GUI. Yes, everything. Storage, networking, remote management, enclosure management. ALL of it. This load out has the maximum level of licensing that you need to do pretty much whatever you want.
In terms of physical condition, it's mostly in good shape, everything physically is in-tact however it has the usual scrapes and scuffs from being handled through the original end-user and then getting handed off to re-sellers and transported. Nothing major really.
My asking price is $15,000 $8,000.
Unfortunately this thing is a monster in terms of weight (however the build quality is very robust), so shipping through normal outlets isn't really possible. It would have to be shipped either via freight or local pickup only (Greater Houston, Texas area, Austin buyers welcomed if you want to make the trip as well).
Thanks!
