Apologies if this was posted before. I ordered 4 of these for $226 a few days back and noticed the price drop this morning to $209. Emailed support @ serverpartdeals for a price match and got the price adjusted within an hour which was great. All 4 hard drives passed the SMART long test with no errors.

edit: This was $229 on ebay this morning and now dropped to $196 from same seller. This has one year warranty as opposed to 2 years if you buy from serverpartdeals directly.

I did hear clicking noises when the server was booting up but after that it was normal. This was true for my older WD 14TB drives as well. I hear the sound of fans from my servers more than the hard drives. They are not running hot as well. I am replacing a 14TB WD disk with one of these right now and here's the graph showing the disk activity and temperature. It does have good airflow (with a 120mm fan) so that must be helping a lot.

I have couple of these in a windows server. When running crystaldiskmark, the temp went up to 33 degrees. The disk does have a good airflow.

Thanks for posting the deal. I needed a big parity drive for my new unraid server and this fits the bill nicely.

No idea how they track their warranty, but through ebay they say 1yr, through their site 2yr.

If you buy through ebay, warranty is through All-State so you would not contact seller.
Interesting, considering the Warranties section of the listing states it's through them (serverpartdeals). Yet also has that allstate stuff under the buy-now section.
