The worst wear was about 7.5TB. That's about "6 days of wear" when the drive is rated at 1.3 DWPD. So as close to "new" as you're likely to get.
stuff comes down in price a bit more...which it seems to be doing.
yeah enterprise endurance is pretty nice if you need it. i recently stumbled into an old used 3TB SAS drive rated at 3DWPD. So the rated endurance is around 16PB? And I checked the usage and smartctl says it's only been used for about 15TB. So I can probably use the drive until the heat death of the universe.

Mine arrived and is being used as a boot drive on a Supermicro X10SRM-TF.

Anybody know how to check the health of a M.2 NVMe SSD?

And btw, mine is a Samsung.

I received a Samsung PM983, had high hopes, but unfortunately neither my X570D4U M.2 slot nor a cheap PCI-E adapter will recognize it. I assume it's DOA, but any tricks that I can't think of at the moment?

My experience with M.2 NVMe drives is limited but I've never had a drive that wasn't recognized so I'd say you probably do have a DOA.

I got 4 drives from them.
  • LiteOn EPX-KW960 (1.3 DWPD 3 yr/1367 TB): 32 TB written, 524 power on hours
  • Samsung MZ1LB960HAJQ (983 DCT: 1366 TB): 2.85 TB written, 30K power on hours
  • SK-Hynix HFS960GD0TEG (PE4010: 1 DWPD 1 yr/350 TB): 10 TB written, 281 power on hours
  • SK-Hynix HFS960GD0TEG (PE4010: 1 DWPD 1 yr/350 TB): 960 GB written, 665 power on hours
The SK-Hynix read performance is low at ~600-700 MB/s instead of 2.700 GB/s. The LiteOn and Samsung perform as expected. The Samsung writes at 1.1 GB/s.

Received my SSDs, Samsung has 55TBW, the Hynix is as-new but has a strange warning regarding high temperatures. Oh well, i'm using it for VRChat's (VR)Cache anyway so no big deal.
