Hi All,

First timer in mining, just only configured the cpu to mine monero. Not sure if the H/s is good or bad, any advice would do. Tq

E5-2683 v3 configured running 17 threads, running xmr-stak-cpu (current version) on Ubuntu Server 16.04

Current hash result @ monero.crypto-pool.fr :-

Your E5-2683v3 Hashrate is good, my single E5-2683 v3 does about 615 H/s xmr-stak-cpu with Ubuntu 16.0.4 .

Hello, started XMR mining with this rig - Quanta Windmill, 2-node (currently only one is running), 2*2650v1/2*4G each node running Ubuntu Server 16.04 and the latest xmr-stack-cpu

Got stable 739 H/s with 18 threads. Less or more threads results in drop to ~600 H/s

Quanta_Windmill_Monero.PNG

Is there any hints and tricks to increase hashrate or it's maximum possible for these CPUs? I see, that 2 first and 2 last threads has lower hashrate than others. Why?

I choose 2650, because the price for 2670 was more than 2 times higher.
2-node rig price was 2400CNY (about 355USD, yes, I live in China) and I used 500Gb HDD from the old laptop (will upgrade to 16Gb SSD later)

My config.txt is:

Code:
"cpu_thread_num" : 18,
"cpu_threads_conf" :
[
   { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 0 },

Hey may I know what program do you use? The XMR screen capture.

I posted my dual E5-2683 v3 xmr-stak-cpu config.txt in your other threads.

xmr-stak-cpu use similar config.txt .
Between Windows vs Linux , ifferent cpu core # in thread assignment in config.txt.

Good afternoon all. I don't have much experience with mining, or with Intel chips as a general rule (please don't hate me. lol) - But what would the hash rate be on a pair of E5645 Processors?

I see people talking about per node, is that what you are connected to, and trying to mine from (I am ridiculously new to this, and trying to understand it all).

I have tried searching for a comprehensive list of processors and mining speeds, but I didn't seem to find the processor I was looking for with relevant XMR hash rates.

Reading through this article, though, you guys have some powerful beasts. :)

Many Regards,

Brian

I do not own a E5-4650 v3.

The closest CPU to E5-4650 v3 that I have mining is E5-2650L v3 production CPU.

E5-2650L v3 has L3 30MB (15 threads), base clock 1.8ghz , turbo is 2.5ghz.
Using xmr-stak-cpu with Ubuntu 16.0.4 mining with minexmr.com , hashrate is 485 H/s
Just got a E5-2650L v3 QS and I'm getting around 442 H/s on CentOS 7 + STH Dwarfpool docker image. That's almost 10% lower.

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to use a server PSU to power the custom build mining rig? I guess it should be fine if the PSU is installed on an open-air chassis. Is it right?
