Has anyone successfully installed Windows Server 2022 on the MS-01. Works fine except I can't get a driver to install for the i226-V NIC. Tried the drivers from the Minisforum site and the Intel NIC driver pack but no luck. The X710 and the I226-LM seem to work just fine.

Did you somehow solve the problem with the driver for i226-V? And also how were you able to install the driver for RZ616?

This thread has become a sort of longest uptime competition in between of crashes...

Is it just me or is this ridiculous?
Never had a single crash since i bought it .. i even never updated the bios also .. still the original one (1.17 i think)
I have the MS-01 with the 12900H and 96gb of ram.

Same here but with the 12600H.

I'm using Kingston FURY 32GB (KF548S38IBK2-32).

Anyone else experienced a CMOS battery failure on theirs? Was not expecting a cmos battery to fail (down to 2.1v) after 4 months of use. Pretty frustrating especially with a a plug location only a masochist could love.

My MS-01 suddenly stop responding today, when I went to check it, I couldn't turn it on and the light on the power supply was blinking. When I unplugged the power supply from the pc, the light was solid green. Has anyone have this issue before?

I'm thinking it may be the power supply that went bad, but I'm afraid something might have fried on the pc itself.
Same happened to me last week.
Minisforum support instructed me to disconnect drives and ram and clear the cmos but it hasn’t made any difference.
They agreed to replace the unit
I just sent it yesterday, lets’s see how long it takes to get a replacement.
Is this a pattern?

Seems to be a pattern. My 12900H turned off one day and then refused to turn on too. Even after disconnecting the CMOS battery for 24hrs.
I was using the default HW that came with the MS-01. No extras/GPU etc. Just an out-of-the blue dead PC...
After a lengthy wait via email I eventually got through to support and got the device RMA'd.
Just got an email yesterday to say a replacement is on the way... It's a little concerning that the devices are failing with little to no correlation as to what is causing the failure.
There are no issues with the PSU it's been tested and working well beyond the 14W that my MS-01 was consuming during idle and the 28W under load...
Can someone from ServeTheHome try to get a better explanation from minisforum what the failure point is and how they intend to resolve it?

"have the server plugged into a smart plug with energy. I set it to power off between 23:04 and 23:15 only if the power levels dip below 5 watts for 2 minutes. After 5 minutes it powers back on. (Set the BIOS to always power on on power restoral)

unfortunately I have had to resort to similar. I do not have access to the beta firmware to adjust memory speed, I have 96gb mushkin memory, and server would crash every 2-3 days. I hooked up to a smart plug, and do a cronjob to backup all LXC's at 3:45 am, power down the node at 3:50, turn the power off at 3:55 and then power back on at 4:00 am.

works but id rather have a stable system.

Would someone be able to recommend a sfp+/dac cable that will work with the x710 slot and a switch (10gb)

Thanks so much

Has anyone tested a video capture card in the pcie slot?
I would be interested in seeing if I can get an embedded SDI video and audio feed into OBS or similar. Something like a blackmagic decklink card?

Im looking for a reliable power supply to use with the MS-01 with a GPU added. I guess i need a minimum of 240W if I add an Arc A310?
Has anybody tried this already and which power supply did they use?
