    Anyone considering using these with SMB Direct (SMB 3.0) should contact Mellanox to verify compatibility/driver availability for this card and Windows Server 2012.

    Being that this is a ConnectX and not ConnectX-2/3 variety...

    I wonder if this is just lack of code support or if new functionality was added to the ASIC.

    Infiniband is not like Ethernet. All kinds of compatibility considerations. A bit annoying. Just like how you need onboard memory to use Infiniband + OpenIndiana.

    More Mellanox ConnectX MHQH19-XTC available. Note these are not SMB 3.0 friendly but $155 OBO on ebay.

    MHQH(1|2)9B. Want to look for the B cards. The 1 and 2 are for single or dual port respectively.
