Hello, I picked up a used dell Poweredge R330, but I still need to purchase memory for it. It uses DDR4, but I cant find if that model supports non ECC memory. Im only going to be using it with Proxmox as a backup server and maybe some other VMs for testing. So am I good to use non ecc for it or should I consider it for my application? Also im going to use True nas on it for backing up my other pcs, but I don't know if I should go with scale or core. Also if I want to use sofware raid with true nas, from my understanding, the dell raid card needs to be flashed with a new firmware to act more like a HBA correct? Thanks for the help.

It probably only takes ECC UDIMM modules. You could try using non ECC to see if it boots and doesn't complain about it.
