You probably need to install a bunch of intermediate versions, there should be a list here somewhere.

I did try yesterday the following versions
image-PPC_M460EX-3.4.2008
image-PPC_M460EX-3.5.1006

i can se load sucess via web page.. but then on extract at around 17 to 18% it throws some erros on partitions.. and stops.. it takes around 10 to 15mins between each attempt to upgrade. I will post the next print below, as i have tried to upgrade it again today.

Perhaps i am trying to upgrade it incorreclty? i am downloading the IMG-xxxxxxxxxxxx.zip from nvidia and then loading it on local upgrade directly, do i need to unzip it first? i tried extracting the zip and i a have some scripts.sh inside and another zip img file.. do i need to exctract the img first?

This is my show inventory information below

On the front of the switch i only have mellanox logo on the lef side.. so i think this is original brand mellanox switch.. i did find online some IBM and HP branded switches.. perhaps this needs a different firmware image?

i can't quite place it, but i thought that there was an order for upgrades and a flowchart somewhere on STH forums.

Looks like corrupted or incomplete file "Unexpected EOF", check checksums on Linux cli. Might also be your browser, use an old IE11 or older Mozilla like PaleMoon. If not working try CLI for upgrade:

Code:
enable
configure terminal
image fetch http://yourip:8100/firmware.img
image install firmware.img
image boot next
configuration write
reload
If you don't have a webserver handy, on windows try GitHub - ethanpil/sheret: A tiny, simple static file web server.

Hiya,

Thanks for the input, i will check the github and try to set a local windows file web server, because the switch has no internet is just plugged in MGMT0 port directly to my win machine for testing.

Ok so new day, and a new challenge LFMAO....

so i did a couple of web gui upgrades last night.. and stopped on version 3.4.0012 upgrade sucessfully and after reboot... the switch is still on previous version showing 3.3.3400 on Partition 2 - active image (partition of next boot) and on Partition 1 ( 3.4.002) i pressed the Siwtch Net-boot partition button, and it changed to Partition 1 (partition of next boot) so i pressed reboot againa to take effect.. but after reboot is comes back to partition2 as active.. as described on the picture below

So obvisouly now i am kind of lost again hehehe.
