Mellanox sx6036 firmware upgrade

Hello, i bought a couple of Mellanox switch SX6036 and i would like to update to the latest firmware.
I checked mellanox website (http://www.mellanox.com/page/products_dyn?product_family=132)
and i can see that as firmware and software there's just this links:

• Unified Fabric Manager (UFM®) Software for Data Center Management
• MLNX-OS® Integrated switch management solution - for SX6036
• Switch firmware - for SX6025

no mention about SX6036...... i searched on google but i couldn't found nothing..... someone experienced with that switch upgrade and can guide me?

Do you have a mellanox site account? The you should be able to download it from there.

This sucks, I wanted to buy a hp branded sx6036 to learn/play around with infiniband fabrics. Seems that I will stick to ethernet only...

Well if you're lucky then there is a MLX OS on that switch and you can use it. Usally IB is possible, ETH needs to be licensed

If the switch still has HP support then you can get a HP based update for it

if you have mellanox os you are better off not upgrading fw, as mellanox os might stop working with another fw than it ships with.

Hmm spent the last hour with googling.
If you have a hp branded mellanox switch you can download the "mlnx-os" image from hpe without a support contract.

Not sure its the latest (3.4.0012(17 Mar 2015)) but least one version

on the right tab there are all versions.
this is full mlx os, and imho can only be used for updates over existing - but should include (and flash during install) latest fw, too.

Looks like a vanilla mellanox version. I would try to update it with 3.6.8012.

Hi guys i have the same switch i tried to upgrade imagem local via web interface latest available on the nvidia site in the end it failed stating error to select url..

I am trying to load the latest nvidia image via install from local file image-PPC_M460EX-3.6.8012 after 10minutes with icon UPLOADING blinking on the screen.. it throws an error missing url ... anyone knows where i can upgrade or download the Default firmware version also ?

You probably need to install a bunch of intermediate versions, there should be a list here somewhere.
