EXPIRED Mellanox SX6036 36ports QSFP €150

Just bought 2 of those for €100 ea.

It seems to be the Lenovo variant, single PSU, short length

I have not received them yet, but for that price from a vendor with return option/covered by PP - what could go wrong

Hey, looks good. Can the switch be updated normally? I mean is it running Mellanox OS? Can the ports be configured as Ethernet with QSFP cables? (to connect them with those cheap HP FLR qsfp network cards)

As I don't have mine yet I can't say for sure but I'd think so.
Ethernet will need the appropriate license I assume

i have bought it now, lets see when it arrives I want to buy the correct cables beforehand from fs.com. Do i buy passive DAC Mellanox branded ones when i want to connect them to some HP Cards, or should i buy only Mellanox branded Receivers and HP Receivers for the network cards and the cables seperated?

I'd get mellanox ones (for DACs) as you simply can put the mellanox fw on the OEM cards normally.

well I think it is a huge bargain considering what you get
36 port FDR (56GBE) switch with very low power consumption (for what you get), 4:1 splitting capability, ultra cheap NICs, enterprise level management, IB/ETH flexibility
Those should be flashable to latest FW (via HP) too.

At least thats what I hope to get, have not received them yet. But thats what I got from another MLX sx6036 i have

i also hope everything is okay with them. have bought 2 for standard price *g* and ordered 4 hpe 544 qsfp nic from america because those were much cheaper than one cx354a from europe..
