Hello all,

I recently bought some SuperMicro servers from a dealer on eBay, and just got an email this morning about some SSDs.

His message:

Hello,
I have :
New SSD Intel DC P3700 800GB 2.5" SSDPE2MD800G4
Qty around 10
They are new and sealed.
Please give me your price if you are interested!
To be perfectly blunt, this tech is out of my experience/price knowledgebase, but a quick google makes it sound pretty recent and desirable...

I have emailed the dealer asking his permission to share his email to the forum. I will update the post with it either way.

Disclaimer: I have no relationship with this guy, other than going through a few rounds of negotiations to buy a pair of servers, which won't even arrive until end of next week... I will say, I feel I got a really good deal on the servers, though.

Do you think he'd take 10 bucks a piece? I'd be willing to buy them all. ;)

Why didn't I think of that?!? I just thought "ooh, the pic of the drive says NVMe, no way I can afford that..."

And here I am thinking about storage: "I wonder if I can BO 4 of these 300GB 15k drives for $17 each...", never mind thinking about solid states, especially of that level...

I hope I didn't scare the guy away with my request... Haven't heard anything back, though I guess it is a Sunday, so not possibly unexpected...
