Hi all,

I would very muc appreciate some advice. I'm looking to replace an electricity-guzzling R730xd with something more efficient.

Primary duty will be VM hosting (Home assistant, Adguard, etc. Perhaps 1x Windows VM for PowerBI/DAX/Powerapps learning and basic dev). Domestic setting.

Secondary duties (nice to have but not essential if a second future machine would be a better solution) will be Plex/Jellyfin serving and transcoding, NAS, and Nextcloud hosting.

Rack has a 10G (SFP+) backbone, LAN is wired with Cat6a for future 10G everywhere. Space and noise not an issue.

Options I have on the table for comparable cost, brand new, are:
m70q Gen 3 (i3-12100T, 8GB DDR4, 256GB m.2)
Neo 50s (i3-12400, 16GB, 512GB)
P350 (i5-11500, 8GB, 256GB)
Optiplex 3000 (i5-12500T, 8GB, 256GB)

PCIe slots in neo and P350 appeal, but unknown power consumption in the neo50s, and older generation of CPU in the P350...

Anyone have any thoughts?

E: I have a SAS 8087 24 disk shelf (LFF) that longer term will serve as a data deep freeze, so suggestions for a super cheap, quick starting machine that could control that, spinning up once a week or so to suck in that week's backups from a flash based NAS would also be welcome
