LSI 2208 based controller and PCI 2.0 x4 for array ?

I have a Dell Perc H810 which will be installed in a PCIe 2.0 x4 lane slot. The array will use 6 spinners (6Gbs).

Will there be plenty of bandwidth for the 6 drives or possibly 8 drives if I need to expand?

It honestly depends on your workload. Should yield around 2 GB/s. Even though the drives you're using have 6 Gb/s connectors, their throughput is likely well below that and you should be fine. That is, unless you expand beyond 8 drives or use SSDs / high performance drives.
