does mixing sas2,sas3 in the controller (flashed in IT mode) cause drop speed for all to sas2?

As I try in the HPE system with 12gb HBA card , it will not drop speed when I put sas2 and sas3 disk together.
But I suggest when possible ,don't put them in same HDD cage with one SAS cable. But you could do it.
