Interesting, seeing them as low as 300$ each on ebay. Could deff be fun to play with if they would work

that's almost the same as Marvell Write Accelerate Module which I heard has poor software support

1068e? only 3gbps unless that cache is split into 4 seperate channels I'm not sure how much performance you'll get out of it compared to other lsi cards that use an external ssd(granted those tend to be ~200 without the ssd)

I paid 68 bucks for one back in June. Haven't gotten around to using it yet but it 3.ogb.

What drives did you attach to it? I'm not sure what benchmarks are available to napp-it I usually work in a windows enviroment where any non windows storage is network accessible.

Oh, I was more thinking to bench the SSD drives :) No other drives attached yet... I could move em to a windows-vm I guess.

I'm assuming they'll act as some form of cachecade volume do you have any controls to turn it on/off and do some read/write tests in both scenarios?

I'm a little hesitate to adding them to my pool, not sure how the best way of doing it would be.
