Since SM never changed the SKUs to reflect the new CPU steppings - we have to wait for excess "older" inventory to move out before receiving a 1521/41 as the retailers wont have a clue.

That being said, has anyone actually confirmed receiving either one yet?

Ahh good deal congrats! - would you be so kind and to circle back here and report which stepping you received?

The new stepping should be "V2 SR2DE" (for the 1541) or "V2 SR2DF" (for the 1521).

I am looking at getting the 1541 from NE as well ...

Many thanks!

Hope I am getting the new version, but seem like this board not so popular. I think abit hard to get new stepping. But pray that I can get new stepping.

It may indicate on the box SKU else directly on the CPU (which isn't going to be visible unless you remove the heatsink/fan) else you can check the clock speed once you get it up and running provided you have the 1541 - the clock speed was increased to 2.1 Ghz from 2 Ghz. Else you can install CPU-ID (Windows only). BIOS should indicate speed as well. Let us know ! Thanks

OK... Will check when I got it tonight...

Gmt +8 singapore time.

I am still figure haven decide how to run this in esxi running vm for xpenology & freenas. I am still exploring how to configure for the storage to be under xpenology or freenas.

Or under server 2012 and hyper-v xpenology and free nas.

My apologies - the 1521 CPU run at 2.4Ghz and the 1520s at 2.2Ghz - so you have the original stepping. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for posting your system information.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted in this thread. I just got my X10SDV-TLN4F yesterday and now have ESXi 6 running on the board. I'm building my first VMs on it now, and have plenty to move over still - but I'm really looking forward to seeing how the platform performs.

One thing I did run into that I thought I would share though: if you're doing ESXi 6 (or apparently 5.5) with a Samsung SM951, make sure to follow the instructions to get sata-xahci running once you have ESXi installed. I wasted a few hours last night before coming across this excellent post ( Now that you installed ESXi 6.0 with another NI... | VMware Communities ) on how to make the Samsung M.2 drives work in VMWare.

I'll let you know what I think of the performance once I'm fully functional, but for now I'm looking forward to my new little beast with 64GB of RAM and ridiculously fast storage...
hi may i know how you get the ESXI work for this board ? i receive an error that network adapter not found ? thanks.. sorry for questing this is my first VM hardware. thanks

What kind of problems?

Im not able to get a link on the 10Gb ports. Either looped to each other or to a 1Gb switch.

I have tried the ESXi vib 4.1.1. I also tried Windows 2012R2. Also Ubuntu 15.10 with 4.0.1k and I compiled the latest driver 4.1.5

I have only noticed that in Ubuntu it seems to not be able to init the PHY.
