Does anybody know of an affordable motherboard for these CPUs? I don't want to have to buy a $300 board for a $200 CPU. Non-standard form factors are fine.

That's a 3rd gen 205w cpu, boards are going to be a little expensive.

X12 Motherboard < 300US$ ??? If you are that tight may get a 2nd series 18C Platinum and X11 board. You get 18core Platinums for 150US$ and X11boards for under 200US$. It's just a 15% performance hit multicore. Single-core not that much. You have still cheaper Optane 1 support vs still expansive Optane 2 support on X12 motherboards/cpu's.

eBay/Reddit etc ... But you need to contact the sellers and talk to them. Nobody will offer you the lowest price publicly.
