It's available on Broadcom's website, but you have to check "Legacy products" checkbox in searchAnybody have a link to the latest 9300-8i firmware?
Is this what you're looking for?Nope.
I can't remember ever finding anything on Broadcom's site.
Check out the link in my post above (#47). Expand the BIOS section. I think current is the first file listed: P14 version 16.0There are 1100 entries under firmware. I searched for "lsi 9300-8i" and got a hodge podge of mostly garbage.
I flashed my card several weeks ago and the firmware files were not difficult to find. I'm sure you can do it.There are 1100 entries under firmware. I searched for "lsi 9300-8i" and got a hodge podge of mostly garbage.
Just flash the right firmware. Mine works as an HBA with IT firmware.can these be converted to IT mode? yes, right?

This is true. The names are confusing. I ended up downloading all files that might contain anything of interest, and looking at their contents. If you look at the flashing tutorial @Patrick published for IBM's version of the card (https://www.servethehome.com/flash-lsi-sas-3008-hba-e-g-ibm-m1215-mode/) you will quickly find all the necessary files. But it is confusing though.

Not sure what's what. I can only surmise the installer is the flasher, 9300_8i_Package is the firmware for IT, IR. Not sure about SAS3_UEFI_BSD, SAS3IRCU.
Good call! The file I mentioned only included for BSDI looked inside the archives and Installer_... are the flashers. 9300_8i_Package contains the IT/IR firmwares along with the "HII" firmware, which I assume is the bootup ROM. UEFI_BSD_P14 is older than what's inside the 8i package so that can be ignored. The SAS3IRCU is the host software for many OSes.
UEFI_BSD
refers to the boot services driver, basically the equivalent of the card's BIOS option ROM, but for UEFI.
