It still locked my internet zone to medium high security. I can change the slider on intranet and trusted sites but not internet

Is edge confirmed not included in server 2016 1607?

reading that post shows that I am not the only one wanting edge and a few other stuffs that comes with windows 10. I hope there will be an addon pack bringing them back. I am running server 2016 right now and I like it as a workstation. The start menu in server is compact and not loaded with all the junks that comes with windows 10. I like the option of being able to add server features if I ever want to as well as the increased robustness.

who says you can't have the best of both worlds :). I almost want to say that if someone asks me what is the better windows 10 version than enterprise, I would almost want to say server 2016.

There should be like an optional addon pack for those of us that want to do that!

edit: gave up trying to get ie11 to work. so I have installed chrome browser.

I still think that server 2016 could actually be a better WS windows 10 in a lot of way...

The big issue here is that too many 3rd party software (dell iDRAC/OMSA I am looking at you...) do not work in Edge...

I'm going to say it - without really good reasons (such as "I'm using Server as a workstation") ... we don't browse the Internet on servers.

At all.

On the off chance you're still with me ... Edge is gone. See this article for info.
lol :). yep... double down on that ..heheh. running s2600cp2j server mb right now with server 2016. got it configured just like a WS.

Ugh, browsers don't belong on servers. For that matter, GUI's don't belong there either.
