they both still working and not failing yet? they must both be well over the write limit by now....

Thank you. 7TB write is too low vs the published 35TBW value. These drives really are not good for anything.

Time for a bit of thread necromancy. Have the drives failed yet? Have they hit 15TBW? 20TBW? Six months of 5MBps should have been ... let me see here ... six ... carry the one ... elephant ... eleventy dolphins ... 77TBW or better, so they're both dead, right?

I use my ssd only as boot drives. The problem is that your web browser cache and a lot of program cache also use the boot drive to locate their cache dir on there. so it's not always just booting up. there is fair amount of rewrite to it even if you are actually intending to use only as boot drive. I hope mine will last a while. it's 4 yrs old.

Yea.. the issue was... get this... they failed so badly could not check SMART on them after I got back from a trip :-/ Was 15TBW and 16TBW according to the last entry.
