what possible use can you have or can your company throw money towards 24 x V100s?Keep your Xeon Gold's ... I raise you Tesla Golds.
Fully populated XL270d Gen9 Server trays... ready to slide into the chassis.
the other 10(8 pictured) are for other boxes. The answer to the universe is clearly 42 telsa v100s.
you don’t just spend six figures on a ML hobby (unless you are Patrick) there must be some business reasoning behind it.Im guessing some deep learning stuff.. - or really pita gfx guys/girls that wont take “you cant get a desktop, we only run VDI” for an answer..
What in general justifies these kinds of gpu’s.. could be medicinal, image analysis etc.. list goes on. But yes, $200k USD in a box is quite crazyyou don’t just spend six figures on a ML hobby (unless you are Patrick) there must be some business reasoning behind it.
If it’s ML I am curious what they are doing to justify 200k

We are developing the reference architectures for the use cases that would be justified in using these, and supporting customers that use them.
That was Jan, this is now... SXM2
Not to worry, it takes 9x 120mm fans. I've got 6 of what I need, 3 more on order.@funkywizard I think you're going to need a larger fan..![]()
what? why mess around with 9x 140mm fans when you can have:Not to worry, it takes 9x 120mm fans. I've got 6 of what I need, 3 more on order.
They also make a model that takes 9x 140mm fans.
Well, the rads are designed to mount the 120's / 140's (depending on the rad) I guess is one reason. The 9x120mm rad will also accommodate 4x 180mm instead. The 9x140mm rad will accommodate 4x200mm instead. But yeah, the fan you linked will be cheaper, maybe half the price. No clear specs on power use or airflow however.what? why mess around with 9x 140mm fans when you can have:
