Just as a bit of comparison for folks, a whitebox 48 port SFP+ and 6 QSFP+ switch is easily 5-8x that price.

There's a big long thread from a year ago. They're a low-latency L2 switch. No L3. They're not picky about optics (or at least my GS0018 isn't). There isn't much documentation to be had, but there's enough for most uses.

Gnodal went under a while ago, that's why they're so cheap. There's another thread or two around here from a while back from people snatching them up from a Canadian seller for half the price. This is the cheapest I've seen one since then.

OK, I bought it. Thanks. I love these switches for TOR use, we have about 4 of the 72 port ones and 3 of the 4008 model. The other seller asking $2900 will go down to about $2300 I think. At $1400 this is still a good deal.

They are truly transceiver agnostic, anything from fiberstore works well.

The seller who I bought from has more of them. I have bought 4x from him and another department has bought about 5x. I sent info to a couple of users who asked about them and he has around 17 left.

$1200.
