Previously I had ECC memory. And now I inserted the 8GB stick HMA81GU6CJR8N-VK and 8GB stick m378a1g43db0-cpb. Maybe it's a matter of clocks, but I think it should start check it.BMC information generally won't update until there's successful boot. I'd try different RAM if possible.
Very likely incompatible memory.I have a problem too. I added memory and a Ryzen 7 3800x processor. However, there is no information about postal errors. I removed the CMOS battery and replaced the memory, but there is still no image in IPMI. The processor that is detected is Ryzen 5 3600. RAM is not detected, although I took the chips from a standard PC.
Thanks ! I assumed the .RBU also contained the BMC firmware in the same file, guess not. Updating the BMC worked, but .RBU is still not being accepted despite selecting BIOS in the dropdown.
Updating the BIOS using an OS is not option as I can't get the system to boot up with the 4650ge.
edit: Error message changed to "Failed due to update fail" which is rather cryptic
I say yes, currently doing so. An option:Sorry, I struggle with PCI-E lanes
I'm thinking of using this motherboard as my new main proxmox host.
Is there any way of running a 10gb nic and for example 2x nvme drives in RAID1 with this motherboard?
Failed to set up TRIGGER eventfd signaling for interrupt INTX-0: VFIO_DEVICE_SET_IRQS failure: Transport endpoint is not connected

SATA controller is sharing IOMMU group with USB and chipset so no, can't be doneas anyone successfully passed through the SATA controller in Proxmox?
These errors and some searching are suggesting IRQ conflicts. I have been trying various fixes for a few days without any luck.
As you mention youself, with a 4x4x8 (or 4x4x4x4) adaptor you can get some nvme running at full speed, and by doing so free up the internal slot for an sata adaptor, where the speed of lanes are less importantHas anyone successfully passed through the SATA controller in Proxmox?

Yes you're right that is a good option, I think I have one as well. My intention was to pass through a SATA controller to a TrueNAS VM for zfs, but if not I will utilise the proxmox cli.As you mention youself, with a 4x4x8 (or 4x4x4x4) adaptor you can get some nvme running at full speed, and by doing so free up the internal slot for an sata adaptor, where the speed of lanes are less important
otherwise you need a HBA
I use a 4x4x8 for nvme mirror for proxmox and the 8x slot for an HBA passed through to TrueNAS, but depending on drive numbers the NVME to sata solution is better for lower powerYes you're right that is a good option, I think I have one as well. AMD is far away from being low power. 5700X - 200W peak consumption, 5950X - 300W peak consumption (full load). Maybe some lower models.Hey, worth it buy nowadays? i am looking for change for my SuperMicro X9SRI. for some more power, efficient and less power hungry solution.
This is not true at all... 5700x max power draw around 75w, and 5950X around 120w stock voltages ofcAMD is far away from being low power. 5700X - 200W peak consumption, 5950X - 300W peak consumption (full load). Maybe some lower models.
