i can't find how to update firmware on my fujitsu p3700 800gb

intel's "isdct" tool refused to do that.

actually the problem is that when i run "hdparm -Tt /dev/nvme0n1" i got only around 1500-1900mb/s read speed. that's pretty low, especially compared to my other genuine intel p3700 400gb, which shows 2700-2800mb/s using the same command.

and i wonder what is the problem. both were tested on exactly the same system.
sata controller was disabled, pci-e slot was manually set to v3.0 in mainboard's bios.
it is looks like i got a pci-e 2.0 limit (4x 500mb/s=2000mb/s).
but, again, i have no limits when i use 400gb full-height pci-e card.
this p3700 2.5" connected via funtin adapter (first version without the vent hole).
maybe that is the problem too?

here's the full info:

Code:
isdct show -all -intelssd

so maybe that's not the case and i just need to update the firmware or just change funtin adapter to something else?
is it possible to replace firmware to intel's one?

I havent found a way to update these or oracle one either, if you find a way I'm interested :)

Did you test w/out funtin adapter?

Any updates?

You can use nvme-cli to update oem nvme ssd firmware. The latest P3605 firmware is RA13, RA13 includes a critical fix where the device might assert at initial power-on. All supported platforms should upgrade to RA13 at earliest convenience.

Are we sure the firmware is the latest? The software (2.3) is not even near being the latest version on the Intel page, and driver is from the same year (2015).

Just curious if this is needed as it doesn't appear to be "updated" unless you have an early 2015 drive???

It is obvious that the 2015 Fujitsu firmware is not as new as the Intel one, but it seems the version number 'FJP7' is newer than 'FJP2' on the 1st post.
I happened to find the FW on Fujitsu website, I guess it might be a 'update', not sure if it works, since I have no Fujitsu drive.

turns out a 400GB P3700 I bought is actually a DELL sky so can't update in isdct, is there a Intel firmware available I can flash it with to enable it to be updated by Intels software or is the only option to trawl through Dells support looking for any updates?
