Hi,

I would like to exchange the Intel S5520HC mobo with a Fujitsu Mainboard D2618, as this comes close to a workstation board. Unfortunately, after some research I found out these Fujitsu boards have one uncommon 10Pin power connector. The Intel S5520HC has the normal 24/8/8 power connector combo.

While I am totally clueless about 'electrical stuff', I am wondering how to work around this 10pin power connector with my Seasonic Platinum 1050.

Handbook Fujitsu D2618 : http://support.harlander.com/upload...ard-d2618-technical-manual-de-en-20090105.pdf

On page 19 and 33 the 10-pin connector is mentioned twice. I would like to use my current power supply and case. It would be nice and much appreciated to get some advise what and how to do it.

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Mike

The 10 pin is just an additional two pins with +12v and GND, it looks like. I suspect, if this is similar to the HP 10 pin power connectors, you can just plugin a standard 8 pin EPS connector, and it'd be fine with that. (Internally all 12v and GND pins are bound together, so not connecting two of them isn't gonna hurt anything).

Kapone,

thank you for your reply. Ok, I will go for this board and try it out. It's just ~60EUR on eBay.

Have a nice Sunday. Be well.

Regards

Mike

It works fine with 8-pin connector. And it doesn't have to be 1000w as the board's manual suggests. It worked fine with a 800w Dell oem psu that I used to have. I wish I've seen this post earlier though...
