Hello,

I have 4x4TB and 4x3TB drives from my NAS that I'm upgrading (28TB total). I've moved to all 8TB drives and will be selling some leftover soon as well.

Seagate ST4000DM000 4TB
4x4TB (16TB)
(no warranty)
$SOLD

Seagate ST3000DM001 3TB
4x3TB (12TB)
(no warranty)
$250

Buy the 4x3TB + 500GB SSD+ RAID Card for $350 shipped
(I'll even throw in a random gift (RAM, SD card, SSD, or just ask)

PM with any questions.

even knowing this i recently bought a lot of 5x 3tb Seagates for lab use just because they were so ridiculous cheap. i also still have two that haven't failed yet for 30k plus hours. maybe those with enough hours on and still alive will not fail at all.

maybe... I have hdd from the pata era that's still going... my 3tb Seagate crapped out 3 months exactly after the warranty period ended. it's almost like they timed it so perfectly. took with it 2.5tb of data that I think I could only copied out maybe about 1tb before it was completely unaccessible anymore. and even after trying to reacquired whatever data from other sources, etc, I think I probably only got about 2tb back total... it really sucks!!!

yeah.. its hard to believe that there are still a lot of selling these 3tb... I mean some of them are ok but the abnormal higher fail rate and the fact that you don't know how to separate the bad from good not worth time imo.

i figure some1 would jump on the 4tb soon...lol...
Maybe... I've been picking up used HGST 6TB disks lately (He6 and 7k6000) for $125 - $140/each by being patient. These all have remaining warranties for at least 3 years. They also are enterprise disks and allow for greater density. The last 4TB Ultrastar I bought was $80 (with a warranty).

fyi, i purchased the lot of 4TB drives from zer0gravity. The transaction was smooth and shipping super fast. Packaging was good, and all drives operational.

no problem with zerogravity or 4tb. just the problem with that particular Seagate model of 3tb

Yea, I've not had any issues with them and have dropped the price as well as including an SSD / raid card for basically free.
