The invoice says SuperMicro but there is a Samsung sticker on the stick. PC4 23400.What's the exact model? PC4-....what? Chip manufacturer?
Your mb would actually run those on max available clocks so no panic there. I've been using 3200 on 2666-only aware CPU for months. Are you even sure your mb won't run those on 2933?
That's weird. What's the full samsung model number(probably looks like M386xxxxx-CVFxx)?The invoice says SuperMicro but there is a Samsung sticker on the stick. PC4 23400.
The X11SPH mb won't run it. Positive. Won't boot.
Here's the link on Newegg: Supermicro memoryThat's weird. What's the full samsung model number(probably looks like M386xxxxx-CVFxx)?
Seems like this is 'compatible' memory that isn't compatible versus real Supermicro modules. Here's the link on Newegg: Supermicro memory
Yeah, something doesn't click here, it's a regular 2933 RDIMM, and samsung pn is probably M393A8G40MB2-CVF on yours (see M393A8G40MB2-CVF | RDIMM | Samsung Module | Semiconductor ) which by specs of your MB just has to work. Hey, there's even a supermicro sticker to reassure you! Something is not right here, this mb should absolutely support this RAM. You tried clearing CMOS did you? Here's the link on Newegg: Supermicro memory
You can read about my problems with the memory not detected beep code from the mb on page 2 of this thread: My Mega ThreadOr, what if you power motherboard completely with no ram, it has to make some indications that it does work, and why it won't POST
