Unfortunately these don't show up on Ebay.com. They state that they won't ship to the US. Thought I would post for
members across the pond. These start at $176 on Ebay.

enjoy!

Dealt with this seller in the past. Had to return 3/4 8259CL, but refund was quick and relatively painless.

Mine arrived today. But haven't had time to test them yet.

Update: i did a quick test. Seem to be detected OK in Linux. And with an iPolex Intel coded SFP module was able to get a 10 Gb link with an Horaco switch.

They are located in the same business park as Scaleway/Online.net DC5. Draw your own conclusions ;)

Got one last weekend installed for a while but got tons of connectivity issues, rolled back to working Mellanox card, due to time pressure have had to shelf the card for now and will investigate later.

E: card came with this FW:

Code:
Num Description Ver.(hex) DevId S:B Status
=== ================================== ============ ===== ====== ==============
01) Intel(R) Ethernet Controller X710   4.66(4.42)   1572 00:065 Update
    for 10GbE SFP+                                               available
and upgraded fine to

Code:
Num Description Ver.(hex) DevId S:B Status
=== ================================== ============ ===== ====== ==============
01) Intel(R) Ethernet Controller X710   8.64(8.40)  1572 00:065 Update
    for 10GbE SFP+
I did play with SR-IOV but couldn't wrap my head around in the limited downtime I had.

Yes, my Ubuntu was also complaining about the NVVM being to old. I havent updated it yet. I saw on the Supermicro website, that you should contact support for an updated version. So i will do that, just to see if they have any additional comments.

Got the firmware files from SM support so I should be good to go as soon as I find some spare time, thanks for the heads up.

I contacted them this afternoon. They send me a link for version 9.00.
