Yesterday I received 2 960GB SM863 and 2 800GB S3700 from different sellers.

All drives have between 4 and 5 years POH and between 1.4 and 1.7 PBW, SMART shows 92-94% health.

As I understand the 800GB S3700 should have and endurance of 14TBW and the endurance for the 960GB SM863 should be 6.1TBW, but at 1.4PBW shouldn't the health be below 90% for any of these drives?

Its likely not reading the data correctly.

The 800GB S3700 has endurance of around 2.92 PB (potentially ~2% error)

are you using samsung magician software? (the one for enterprice / datacenter?)

According to the datasheet endurance is 14.6TB

I used Crystal Disk Info, I'll try with Magician but I guess it'll give the same result.

(With 14TB you would chew right through it.)

This is my logic; ( JESD218 standard)
800GB x 10 x 365 x 5

(if trim is working, there's plenty of head room)

(so they could potentially get 14.6 PB, with TRIM running)

I also see that it writes sector count in smart table and each '1' raw value reflects to 32MB 65,536 sectors;
Thus potentially software isn't reading the values correctly, as some disks report by byte or different chunks all together. (if you could grab raw value, you should be able to calculate it)

Magician shows the same TBW as Crystal Disk Info.

With the Intel disks I got mixed up, TBW is the same as the Samsung drives, but health is 82-84% even though endurance rating for the Intel drives is higher.
