That is really nice perforance for the price my e5-2697v2s (280 each) get between 3020-3105 on cinibench 15 (phase of the moon? I have never benn able to figure out the variance)..so 2700ish fot 100-120 each is a FANTASTIC value! The all popular must have numbers from cinebench r15 tested on lenovo d30
Verdict: with the current price of e5-2690 v2 right now at $245 or less, this 2695 v2 is basically same multicore performance as e5-2690 v2 for half the price.....
or with dual cpu basically 90% of 1950X TR multithread performance for 50% of 1950X (current price $470)
Check out where 2695 v2 falls compared to a few other cpus i've tested

Packed pretty good... Air ship to aus will def be a little expensive ...Anyone who bought a pair from the ohio seller can tell me how it was packed? Living in australia meaning I'll need to use a shipping forwarder as that seller doesnt ship here
yep both links are done... looks like the only active ebay buy now links are the ones for $200+ ;(... hope everyone here wants one got one...seems all gone! let's see if he has another batch lol...
btw, didn't know if anyone else notice that the i7-8550U is actually the fastest single core cinebench on the cpu list i tested? it's a laptop part btw...... crazy eh?
I waited too long. I knew I should have picked up a pair this morning before work. Last I checked they had 50+ left. Crossing my fingers more get listed at the same price.yep both links are done... looks like the only active ebay buy now links are the ones for $200+ ;(... hope everyone here wants one got one...
just retest my laptop with the i7-8550u again and it did get 167 for cinebench single core mark again..... It got up to 4.0ghz ..... so yes, the 8th gen U part is actually very good for single core as well as being not too bad for the multicore for a laptop... IMO if you don't have to have the xeon mobile or H mobile cpu, the 8th gen U part is actually very fast for single core and well as being not that bad for multicore... and also get fairly decent battery life as long as they didn't jack people with a tiny low capacity battery like in a lot of the budget laptop.I think it's a mistake... There's no way a U CPU is #1.
That's expected, it's Kaby Lake after all, and they boost like crazy in single-core load scenarios. At 4 GHz it should be about the same as that Haswell at 4.4 GHz. Sounds about right. That's why I got Threadripper for my main desktop instead of using these Ivy Bridge Xeons.. They're great for servers and some special use workstations, but their single-thread performance is noticeably lagging even behind an overclocked TR (which is no IPC monster either). And Skylake+ cores are faster still. There's just too many applications that don't care for 24 cores per system, a few faster cores do way better than a lot of slower ones.btw, didn't know if anyone else notice that the i7-8550U is actually the fastest single core cinebench on the cpu list i tested? it's a laptop part btw...... crazy eh?
