I got the third party GBICs that describe as "compatible with Arista" from two vendors to test on my DCS-7050S-64, it shows unsupported. I always choosing the third party for my equipment, and all work well except this Arista compatible.. frustrated

Arista has too many switches in their portfolio, ask the two vendors if the gbics/transceivers are compatible or were tested with your specific switch (DCS-7050S-64).

I bought two QSFP (40gbps) on fs.com
Using that on 7050qx. Works ok.Less than 50$ now

Tricks with touch and second one with comment out/change script then rebuild soft was not working for me

Asking arista sales for activation code ..no luck ( I think they can't gave you unlock code if you didn't Bought switch from them directly..mine was from eBay)

I've had zero issues with the blank enable3px file on a 7150s with a very recent EOS. I've also used both 1/10/40G SMF/MMF fiber and 1000BASE-T third party transceivers

Code:
System has 52 transceiver slots

I have used the fs third party SFP+ modules in my Arista 7100 switch, no problem at all. They guarantee they have tested the transceivers in the Arista switch before shipment.

Same here. Ordered 3rd party SFP+ modules for Arista switches (multiple) with exactly same note "Compatible with Arista". 1 of 10 was broken (dead) but the rest works like a charm.

Hi!

Did you test 3rd-party modules with Aristas "newer" firmware? I have some Dell SFP+-modules and need to know, if they will be accepted before spending too much money in Arista switches. I found some hints, that the enable3px-switch has been removed...

Thank you!

Cisco sfp+ dac cable work.

Cisco qsfp+ sr4 & EMC branded Finisar qsfp14 sr4l transceivers were recognized by my 7050q-16:))), but my connectx-3 can't establish a link with these transceivers :)().
