arista EOS has had BGP since day 1 AFAIK, ancient versions like 4.13 have it and every other version I've seen. similar with EVPN, I know 4.18 and up has it at a minimumArista DCS-7050QX-32, yes not the -32S. Rats! I have that one; just never tested. I know the .28 has BGP and EVPN support, off to research the .24 now.
Thanks, Sean
I am no expert and totally new to Arista but I would have thought you could use the USB method to update the firmware but you will lose all your config. it is just a thought I might be wrong.recently received a DCS-7050SX-64 and i'm in need for the newest EOS version for the hardware.
Also important to mention, it's only the small internal flash version (3.something GB).
So i couldn't install the 1.2GB Version 4.28.11M i already had since the current release (.9GB) is also on the flash.
Some more help would be appreciated on a license to use my existing 3rd party fiber optics.
Already written to Arista with SN but got no response
Why not? I always do this anyway. But then i would have to delete the current running version, so its no viable option.
For older switches that specifically needed the 2GB firmware variants like the 7150S-64 and the 7050QX-32, I believe EOS-2GB-4.23.15M was the very last version made available for them when they went end of software support.Hi,
Looking to upgrade a Arista 7150S-64 I got for my homelab.
Current installed firmware is 4.21.7M-2GB
Anyone has the latest that can be installed ? I think its 4.23.5M in the 2GB version is i'm not mistaking(although, I could be wrong about the "5M" part.
Thanks![]()

Have you tried copying the EOS image onto flash from a USB drive?Anyone might have an idea why is this happening?
It seems like mmcblk0 is not mounting correctly, tried mounting it and formatting manually with mkfs from aboot, managed to mount it to /mnt/flash and after that it booted into EOS-initrd...but after a reboot it went back to aboot...am I doing sth wrong or missing sth ?Code:Aboot 6.2.0-2-24152155 Timed out waiting for /mnt/flash cp: can't stat '/mnt/flash.conf': No such file or directory Mount USB to /mnt/flash ... After formatting and mounting it I get this in /mnt/flash.conf, before that only value of fstype was empty
Code:Aboot# cat /mnt/flash.conf devid='pci0000:00/0000:00:14.7/mmc_host/mmc0/mmc0:0001' dev='mmcblk0' part='' fstype='vfat' Aboot#
Got tired of forgetting and re-googling which model supported what EOS, and it seems to be a common question (ie half this thread), so here is a definitive list. You'll notice some of these are much later in the codetrain than what is currently discussed or googlable (EOS-4.23.15M for example), but I assure you they exist. source: scrounging through end of software support announcements under Advisories & Notices - End of Software Support
