Arista DCS-7050QX-32, yes not the -32S. Rats! I have that one; just never tested. I know the .28 has BGP and EVPN support, off to research the .24 now.

Thanks, Sean

arista EOS has had BGP since day 1 AFAIK, ancient versions like 4.13 have it and every other version I've seen. similar with EVPN, I know 4.18 and up has it at a minimum

i bought 2 second hand 7124SX and they have different version so EOS on them, quite old and I am after the last relesed EOS version for them which was EOS-4.13.16M. I thought you could still get it from their web site but obviously not, that was a rookie mistake.
Any chances anyone on here has it ?

recently received a DCS-7050SX-64 and i'm in need for the newest EOS version for the hardware.
Also important to mention, it's only the small internal flash version (3.something GB).
So i couldn't install the 1.2GB Version 4.28.11M i already had since the current release (.9GB) is also on the flash.

Some more help would be appreciated on a license to use my existing 3rd party fiber optics.
Already written to Arista with SN but got no response

I am no expert and totally new to Arista but I would have thought you could use the USB method to update the firmware but you will lose all your config. it is just a thought I might be wrong.

you have to copy the image to the local flash to boot/update the system first, the firmware can come from a usb, scp, http source...
Also on the reboot to the new image, there is a local copy created on the flash, so you need double the space of the image...
Otherwise the system will not boot and would need console access to the aboot, where its possible to delete more local data to have enough storage free to boot it.
But then i would have to delete the current running version, so its no viable option.

Does anyone have EOS 4.28.12M firmware? I bought a used switch for testing but assumed it was at the latest firmware. **slaps forehead**

Hi,
Looking to upgrade a Arista 7150S-64 I got for my homelab.

Current installed firmware is 4.21.7M-2GB

Anyone has the latest that can be installed ? I think its 4.23.5M in the 2GB version is i'm not mistaking(although, I could be wrong about the "5M" part.

Thanks :)

For older switches that specifically needed the 2GB firmware variants like the 7150S-64 and the 7050QX-32, I believe EOS-2GB-4.23.15M was the very last version made available for them when they went end of software support.

Hello,

Is there anyone who can help finding FW for 722XPM-48ZY8? Apparently lowest EOS is 4.27.2 and the newest I got is 4.25.x
I got a couple of these and would really like to revive and have some fun with them at home but as they came cleaned up, they are just large bricks atm... :(

Anyone might have an idea why is this happening?

Code:
Aboot 6.2.0-2-24152155
Timed out waiting for /mnt/flash
cp: can't stat '/mnt/flash.conf': No such file or directory
Mount USB to /mnt/flash ...
Timed out waiting for /mnt/flash

Press Control-C now to enter Aboot shell
Booting flash:EOS.swi
Secure Boot disabled, skipping check
unzip: short read
Welcome to Aboot.
Aboot#
It seems like mmcblk0 is not mounting correctly, tried mounting it and formatting manually with mkfs from aboot, managed to mount it to /mnt/flash and after that it booted into EOS-initrd...but after a reboot it went back to aboot...am I doing sth wrong or missing sth ?

After formatting and mounting it I get this in /mnt/flash.conf, before that only value of fstype was empty

Code:
Aboot# cat /mnt/flash.conf
devid='pci0000:00/0000:00:14.7/mmc_host/mmc0/mmc0:0001'
dev='mmcblk0'
part=''
fstype='vfat'
Aboot#

Have you tried copying the EOS image onto flash from a USB drive?

There are instructions here if needed:

Huh interesting, this kiiinda worked...

For the next guy, what I did was:

umount /mnt/flash
mkfs.vfat /dev/mmcblk0
reboot

Wait for the aboot

When it gets to aboot, insert USBee

umount /mnt/flash
mount /dev/mmcblk0 /mnt/flash
cp /mnt/usb1/EOS.swi /mnt/flash
boot /mnt/flash/EOS.swi

The thing did what it needed to and went to aboot again and needed another:

boot /mnt/flash/EOS.swi

After that booted it rewarded me with localhost login prompt:
login: admin
pass: none

And then:
enable
config t
boot system flash:/EOS.swi

After that I got a prompt to accept changes as write did not work due to zerotouch, answering yes and confirming another reload.

Then after the boot, finally,
zerotouch cancel

Hope it helps :)

Got tired of forgetting and re-googling which model supported what EOS, and it seems to be a common question (ie half this thread), so here is a definitive list. You'll notice some of these are much later in the codetrain than what is currently discussed or googlable (EOS-4.23.15M for example), but I assure you they exist. source: scrounging through end of software support announcements under Advisories & Notices - End of Software Support
