Hi All,

I did recently get couple DCS-7050SX-64-R. Those are running 4.28.10.1M software. Unfortunately, seller doesn't know password to the boxes (aboot is locked by password as well). Does anyone can help me with getting EOS 4.28.10.1M or newer. I will try recovery over USB.

Hi, pretty sure you can reset password via the serial console you just need to get the seiral to usb cable(https://www.amazon.ca/Console-Compatible-Opengear-Juniper-Routers/dp/B0CD5STJHQ)

google: "reset arista switch password console"

HI @ all i have an Arista DCS-7050SX-64-R Software image version: 4.26.8M, anybody can provide me with latest firmware?

Also, i have trouble with esxi iscsi to truenas with 9000 mtu, i don't know yet if its a config error somewhere, asking just in case somebody else already played with iscsi on esxi using 40gb/10gb with intel nic to truenas!

thank you

As I understand you have full control on the switch, so my previous issues are not concern. 4.28.13.1M should work for you as well.

Hey folks,

Just got my hands on two Arista switches (DCS-7050QX2-32S-F) — second day owning them, and I'm already deep into testing
I'm planning to set up MLAG between them, and would love to try out different versions of 64-bit EOS — especially the latest possible x86_64 builds that still work on this model.

Would anyone be willing to share a few firmware images? Ideally something like EOS 4.28.x or even newer, if possible (does EOS 4.34.x still boot on these? ).
I’m very curious to see how much functionality I can get working — routing, BGP, OSPF, sFlow, MLAG, maybe even ERSPAN or VXLAN.

In exchange, I can share an engineering build: EOS-4.16.6FX-7050X2.2.swi — surprisingly, some features work without a license (MLAG, L3, sFlow, etc.).

Appreciate any help!

No. QX2 is Trident2+ and the latest version is 4.28.X, like on their normal Trident2 non-plus counterparts (QX without 2)

EOS uses honor based licensing. You don't have to enter a license for any feature I'm aware of.

My friend, thanks for the detailed reply.
I've already installed 4.28.13.1M and I'm testing various settings — so far, I like everything.

License is required for MACSEC/IPSEC and non-arista transceivers.

Hi all, can anyone confirm what the latest version of EOS is for a 7050QX-32? From what I can tell the device is locked down to use 2GB images even if your flash is bigger.

Actually it looks like there's no way to unlock the 2GB limit (is that memory size?) So I think I'll just ditch this switch and pick up a 7050QX-32S to replace it.

7050QX-32 -> 4.24 max

7050QX-32S / 7050QX2-32S -> 4.28 max
