At my day job we build a lot of Intel servers, and I haven't seen a single one that didn't take ES CPUs, so you should be just fine, more so probably than any other vendor on ES support.
That's good news,
would you be so kind to confirm that Intel boards would worked with B0 or B1 steps CPU.
Thanks

Does anyone know if you can flash the mellanox infiniband cards on these intel boards to 10gbe? Or even 10gbe? Also the way I read it the drives are software raid on the nodes without a RAID key - is that true please?
Thanks

Couple nights ago, I "accidentally" flashed my onboard Mellanox port to 40gb Ethernet only, no longer IPoIB mode which I needed for the Mellanox switch.
I was bumped out for 1/2 hours.
Then I spent an hour to research how to make it go back to IPoIB mode. Finally, I had to overrided the PSID and flashed it with the latest firmware.
Since I do not have a 40gb Ethernet switch, or want to flash another node to Ethernet only, I did not it tested Ethernet mode.

I think Intel C602 chipset SCU is always software raid only.

Anyone else went down this route as the pricing seems to be really high right now. I need a C6100 replacement something bad!
