To me this one is really nice
Supermicro 5018A-AR12L C2750 Avoton, LSI 2116, 12x 3.5 HDD barebones server

That is the server we were all oogling over two years ago. 8 core CPU, can take 4x8GB standard size DIMMs. It also has an onboard LSI HBA for all 12 disks. Add a satadom and you'd have a really nice storage server.

From the listing:
This is a vary low power unit, I typically saw 145-180w with 12x 6TB 7200 RPM drives and a 10Gb NIC
Not hot swap trays but maybe if you had a fail-in place backup node hosted somewhere it'd still be nice.

Thanks for the bump. Feel free to contact me here and I can cut the price a bit more without the ebay fees.
I should have known it was someone on here! Did you use this as like a cold storage box? What did it get replaced with?

It was my primary file server for about a year. I switched back to an SC846 case with more drives, SSD's and a second 10Gb port.
