That ain't the first time I have heard that comment re Toshiba disk labeling. I seem to remember Backblaze had similar comments to make when they used them to begin with as well. Nice build though

Here's what I'd like to know --- Does FreeNAS work with 40gbe? Like not does it "work" but if everything is served out of ARC can it push data over the network fast enough.

I've always seen FreeNAS as like a 1gbe tuned platform that starts to suck wind at 10gbe with SSD. I get the cabling reason to do 40gbe but I'm skeptical that it can actually serve data that fast even using RAM or NVMe SSD

@Jeggs101 - sounds like a good use case for a server oriented site with resources to go build a box to test this.
