You would only get this error if the switch was already on a later UEFI image, or a very old image that has no UFI support yet - neither of these would be the case if you followed the first step of the guide, which flashes a compatible OS version for this from the bootloader, it sounds like you skipped this section entirely - ICX7250 / ICX7450 - Fohdeesha Docs
nahh didnt skip it but I am not complaining about your instructions... very very appreciative!!!!
I did do a video of it and hope i saved it! will try and post it if I did, then you can see what i might have missed.

I can't say if it's the latest 9.0.10 but I will be rolling back. (7250-48P)

POE for my 2 ubiquiti APs (2P-IEEEE class 4) as reported by the switch rarely turns on. Usually have to run:
Code:
inline power non-pd-detection enable
write mem
reload
Without reboot, POE problem is not resolved.
though this is enabled by default according to this document, though I doubt this is the correct thing to run:
Support for PoE Legacy Power-Consuming Devices
However this behavior is not consistent. Many times it takes 20+ minutes for POE to enable for my 2 APs if it happens at all, and usually only on soft reboot. Cold boot rarely works. Another thing of note like many others, warm reboot keeps the fans on stage 2.....usually. Regardless, fan stage 2 triggers almost every 20 minutes. Sometimes for hours even though it was cold last night in the house. Switch is in an unventilated closet, but I did leave the door open. HVAC to be installed within the year....as I have plans for ~20 POE devices.

Setup:
PFSense Router/Firewall
Brocade 7250-48P
APs on 1/1/13 and 1/1/15

To tackle another day as I need wifi up for the family first (though it is up now...)
Am only getting 1.2Gbps-1.4Gbps between two 10Gb hosts via iPerf3 on same subnet which are both directly connected to the switch.
Pfsense (iPerf Server) on Xeon D-1541 w Intel XX7710-DA2 w both 10Gb-SR and 25Gb-SR transceivers (tested both)
Proxmox (iPerf Client ) on Denverton C3758 w X550-T2 to Copper Tranciever

Both reporting auto neg of full duplex 10Gbps....
In process of building 3 more 10Gb hosts and then starting my path to 25Gbps and 100Gbps....just because.

The goal will be moving this to L3 routing, but needed it up quickly to test the fiber/cat 6a drops I did throughout the house, figured start stupid simple.

EDIT: Redacted as 10GB works and closet HVAC installed....no more speed/heat problems.

Got the same switch, same firmware and not seeing that on any of my APs. Have you tried using other ports on the switch?

I just got my 7250-24P and I modded it with 2 times MF40201VX-1000U-G99DC. At first everything looked ok when I ran it in testing. Now I replaced my older switch with the Ruckus and sadly the fans are spinning up every x minutes.

Code:
Fan controlled temperature:
    Rule 1/2 (MGMT THERMAL PLANE): 84.5 deg-C
Rule 2/2 (AIR OUTLET NEAR PSU): 39.5 deg-C
It looks like this after the fans spun up and colled it down. Then it will slowly go up to like 93 °C and then the fans go up to like 8k rpm. When they are slow they are on like 3k rpm.

I'm on
Code:
Stack unit 1:
  Compressed Pri Code size = 33554432, Version:08.0.95mT213 (SPR08095m.bin)
  Compressed Sec Code size = 33554432, Version:08.0.95mT213 (SPR08095m.bin)
  Compressed Pri Boot Code size = 786944, Version:10.1.26T215 (spz10126)
  Compressed Sec Boot Code size = 786944, Version:10.1.26T215 (spz10126)
Code Flash Free Space = 1551749120
I have connected like 6 x 1G and 4 x 10G. There is no PoE client. Apart from like 20 VLANs I've only setup one ve in VLAN 51 where I route by.
Do you have any suggestions? I'd much rather have the fans spin a bit faster in general instead of them going up every like 10 minutes.
The fans fans specs say: 18.25m3/h and 10.3 cfm.
Also the ping to the switch every x minutes goes to like 3-4 seconds latency the CLI via SSH becomes unresponsive for like a couple seconds during that time.

What NIC's and O/S on servers?
Xeon D-1541 X10SDV-8C-TLN4F w Intel XXV710-DA2 PFSense iperf server
Atom C3758 A2SDi-8C-HLN4F w Intel X550-T2 (getting changed to X710-DA2) Proxmox w VMs paused except for debian networking test os
AMD 5950x w Intel XXV710-DA2 Windows, but moving Windows over to VM soon as well on this HW.

Add a fan to the ASIC heat sink. I used a Sunon MF60101V3-1000U-A99 in my 7250-48P.

I also suspect the fans you swapped in aren't really up to the task (10.3 feels kinda low to me, I think something in the 17-19 range would be better), but you'd have to see if the ASIC solution at least got you in a comfortable range.

how do I connect the fan? The two chassis fan port are already taken.

gotcha.. i have been chasing windows issues on x520-da2 only getting me 2.5gb but boot machines into parted magic and get 9.4gb...

You can splice into one of the existing fans. I'd recommend using new connectors instead of trying to splice the wires themselves.
Thank you. I will check, maybe I will try to remove the 40x40 fans completely and put 2 times 80x80 in the top of the case. They will run more silently with even more throughput.

For the ICX6610 I need some more 10G SFP ports then the front and for the breakout ports on the back (right) seems simple LR4 and OS2 cable harness.

Is that possible for the two left QSFP+ ports? or are those dedicated to 40g only link? even if using an LR4 (or SR4) optic?

I was wondering, what kind of CPU Brocade ICX6610 has ? I know it's some sort of PowerPC processor.
And how does it compare to, for example, Mikrotik CCR2116-12G-4S+ processor (Annapurna Labs Alpine AL73400 , 16 cores @ 2000Mhz).
Are L3 capabilities same, lower or higher than this particular Mikrotik ? I'm aware that one is switch and other is fully fledged router but still, one is enterprise gear, other is "affordable" class.
