I would like to know if someone is using a 10GBe NIC in this board.

I tried one of the Brocade 1020 and it is not showing during boot up.

Would be nice to know if someone found a reasonable priced card that would work together with this board.

Brocade 1020 (not showing up during boot)
HP 10GB Mellanox ConnectX-2 10GBe SFP+ (working)
Intel X520
Intel X540-T2

Not verified by users, but according to ASUS HQ:
(would wonder if they would not work, as those are Asus cards)

ASUS PEB-10G
ASUS PEB-10G/SFP+/DUAL
ASUS PEB-10G/SFP+/Single

Mellanox Infinband MCX353A-FCBT FDR (CX3)
Mellanox Infinband MHQH19B-XTR

I would email Asus to see if they tested any 10Gbe nics in it.
While that is probably outside the original use case scope... it is a server board and they should offer you support.

Just make sure that card works in another server first.

I can confirm Intel X520 and X540-T2s work, you'll just have a 5gbps bottleneck (due to the PCI-E 2.0 x4 slot, not due to the NIC).

From Debian Wheezy:
