ASRock Rack EP2C612D16FM LGA 2011 R3 System Board | eBay
Looks good to me, I don't recall decent 2011-3 boards going south $100 before. It even includes a couple of passive heatsinks. I don't actually need these myself, so bought one just to have a test 2011-3 system around. Still 12 left. Offered $95 and it was auto-declined. Offered $99 then and it was auto-accepted. So it's probably worth trying $96+.

Not a bad deal, but the pcie slots are designed to connect to a midplane so they're right angled on the front. Unless you have a compatible chassis you're likely limited to the on board IO and what looks like a mezzanine slot.

yea, nice deal, prob mainly for ppl looking for a compute only node (or like a esxi host that uses NAS/SAN and wont need pcie slots). i also suggest that any buyers message the seller and ask for good picts of the cpu slots, just to check for bent pins. (no reason to suspect anything foul on this listing, just good practice on used MB buys)

also fyi, no onboard 10g (and no pcie slots to add it), but seller lists this:
Supports Intel Dual GLAN (Intel i210) and additional Mezzanine card to support 2 x 10G ethernet or 2 x GLAN

Those are good points about the expansion, I didn't think about it at first since I don't really need expansion for a test system. Could you guys explain how those mezzanine slots work? I tried googling it, but still not sure whether it's an open standard (like pci-e), or those mezzanine slots are different from mfg to mfg? This seems to be the supported 10g card: ASRock Rack > M540
But I can't find it anywhere (except on amazon, where it's $229). Would other mezzanine cards (not from Asrock) work on this motherboard?

I stumbled across these the other day and dug around a little bit without luck. Found a couple others also trying to figure out how & where to source the referenced "ASRock Rack system board" but no actual answers. Ultimately decided it wasn't worth the hassle for something I would need to invent a use for... too many parts to sort through as it is! But great price if you can figure it out.
